Class40 Eärendil wins Atlantic Cup Leg 2, Rockall and Best Buddies arrive in Bermuda
Fellow AAR Skipper Catherine Pourre has won Leg 2 of the Atlantic Cup on Class40 with co-skipper Pietro Luciani and their crew. The doublehanded 360nm course on the eastern seaboard of the US took them from New York to Portland (Maine). Following back-to-back offshore wins, Eärendil currently holds No. 1 position in overall Atlantic Cup leaderboard. Congratulations to the whole crew! The team will shortly race the third and final leg, which consists of a crewed inshore series on June 9 & 10 in Casco Bay (Maine), before Catherine, Pietro and Benoit Hochart are joining in Bermuda for our final AAR leg.

This week, two AAR boats, Rockall (on May 30) and Best Buddies (on June 3), arrived in Bermuda and are currently checking out the island’s turquoise waters and pristine sailing conditions. Rockall was delivered in only 2,5 days from Newport to Bermuda by skipper Christopher Opielok and his crew* made of Philip Blinn, Stig Westergard, Martin Klawoon, Tim Kröger, Tim Tröber and Nick Martin. Currently, preparations for the eastbound AAR leg are in full bloom, and the crews are getting acquainted with the beautiful island.
