The Atlantic Anniversary Regatta (AAR) is a unique opportunity for sailing enthusiasts and professionals alike to challenge the Atlantic Ocean. Fighting spirit, family-endeavours and the marvel of a transatlantic passage make up for fascinating stories that need to be told.
Sure: Yacht racing is all about technology but it is the people behind the yachts with whom we want to relate and who we want to follow. In order to achieve this, we need to get to know the teams. Who are they? What are they competing for and what are the personal motivations of each crew to enter a race like the AAR?
This is why we are calling all the writers, photographers or social media enthusiasts who will compete in the AAR to join our squad of OBRs – What does that stand for? Well: OBR is the acronym for “on bord reporter”. Its them who let us take part in oceanic passages, who take us to the remote places and who tell compelling stories of camaraderie, adventure and sportsmanship.
We are looking for crews to be portrayed, blogging boatcaptains, navigators or watch-captains up for a quick interview, (Hamburg-based) Atlantic veterans or in short anyone, who would like to tell about his or hers endeavour in the AAR.
Looking forward to hearing from you! Cheers, your AAR Media-Team
